Venice Film Festival to reduce films

The Venice Film Festival is slated to reduce films lineup.

The organizers of the 77th edition of the Italian festival have decided to reduce the number of screening films.

This decision was made considering the coronavirus outbreak in the world.

2020 edition of the festival has also deleted some sections.

The event is slated to be held as scheduled, however it has not published any official word about its plan yet.

It was announced that Cate Blanchett would be president of the main competition jury at this year’s edition.

Italy announced its borders will be open to travelers from June 3 and movie theaters will reopen on June 15.

First organized in 1932, the Venice festival is the oldest film festival in the world.

Every year, the event hosts a number of the most successful actors and directors of our time.
